The Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) is a dynamic association of health professionals dedicated to promoting the appropriate use of antimicrobials. SIDP provides education, advocacy, and leadership in all aspects of the treatment of infectious diseases. SIDP is comprised of pharmacists and other health care professionals involved in patient care, research, teaching, drug development, and governmental regulation that are concerned with all facets of antimicrobial use, and committed to excellence in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Residency The Board of Directors of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) is pleased to announce the availability of funding by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals to support an Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Residency for the period of July 2010 through June 2011.
Proposals must be submitted online no later than 5 PM E.S.T. on February 26, 2010. Applications not submitted through the SIDP website portal, or submitted after the application deadline, will not be considered. The Board of Directors will make decisions on the applications no later than March 26, 2010.

IN MEMORIAM SIDP is saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Thomas Chin, BSc., Pharm.D on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Thomas was a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist -Team Leader in Antimicrobials and Infectious Diseases at St. Michael’s Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. His service to students, patients at St. Michael’s Hospital, and our society will be greatly missed. Information concerning remembrances can be found here.
