The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for a dynamic and conscientious Infectious Disease Pharmacist to conduct antimicrobial stewardship education and outreach within the State of Arizona.

The ID Pharmacist will plan, implement and monitor educational and outreach activities involving hospitals, long-term care, outpatient and other healthcare settings. The primary objective is to provide tools and consultation with healthcare facilities across Arizona to ensure appropriate and judicious use of antimicrobial agents. This position requires a self-motivated and independent individual who will display a high degree of organization, professionalism and cultural versatility, and who possesses analytical skills and attention to details in setting priorities while managing a wide variety of duties from basic administrative tasks to program development initiatives.

The ID Pharmacist will promote antimicrobial stewardship activities to improve antimicrobial prescribing and use in Arizona and will disseminate educational materials to facilities as well as provide technical assistance and training to a variety of healthcare professionals.

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona is currently ranked among the top 5 colleges of pharmacy in the nation, in both education and research with students on both the Tucson and Phoenix campuses. The ID pharmacist will receive an academic appointment commensurate with training, experience, and anticipated academic role.
