  • With the release of the international consensus recommendations for the use of prolonged-infusion beta-lactam therapy in 2023, SIDP sought to develop resources for the implementation of this practice in the hospital setting.

Toolkit Features:
  • Three template presentations designed based on the intended audience, including educational material for training pharmacists, providers, and nursing teams.
  • Review of important aspects regarding the logistics of extended infusion beta-lactam antibiotics
  • Outline of frequently asked questions (FAQ) on the extended infusion of beta-lactam antibiotics
  • A template and example intravenous agent compatibility chart with beta-lactams and commonly administered agents
