INFECTIOUS DISEASES / ASP PHARMACIST - FULL TIME (TWO OPEN POSITIONS)

Description:

This position provides clinical pharmacy support to the Infectious Diseases service, with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to rounding with general and transplant ID services, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring program success, responding to drug information questions (hospital-wide), precepting pharmacy residents, and other duties. 

Clinical pharmacists provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to designated service areas or patient populations to achieve optimal patient outcomes and safety. They function as members of multidisciplinary teams to improve medication therapy management. These positions act as drug information resources and their responsibilities include age-specific and/or disease specific consultative medication therapy evaluation, education of both patients and other medical staff, research, and participation in quality improvement activities. 

What you will need:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy
  • Specify Degree(s): Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Residency: Pharmacy Practice - General (Preferred), Infectious Disease Specialty Residency/Fellowship (preferred) or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience:

  • Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: Registered Pharmacist
Preferred: Board Certified in Specialty Area
